Average/Not Average Condition
1. Question: What is average condition?
Answer: A home that has been maintained on a regular basis. For example: every week or two weeks your home is cleaned. There is only going to be so much build up from week to week. This is considered average condition. However, if the home has been neglected for a month or more, we will have to take the extra time to scrub everything thoroughly. This of course is not average condition.
The following are example of areas in the home that may not be in average condition. These areas will take more time to clean properly, therefore may require an extra charge.
a. Stove area: If the outside of the stove has to be scrubbed instead of washed, it is not in average condition.
b. Range hood: If a grease build up is on the range hood it is not in average condition.
c. Cabinet doors: If there is a grease build on the cabinet doors and dirt on the knobs it is not in average.
d. Countertop: If stains are on the countertops, and an excess of small appliances and canisters. Some homes have their countertops cluttered with everything you can think of. Obviously this is not in average condition and will take more time to clean.
e. Bathtub or Shower Area: If the inside of the shower has mildew and the shower doors for soap scum and /or mineral build-up, it is not in average condition. If the bathroom is cleaned on a regular basis it will never have a build-up of any kind.
f. Toys/clutter: If the house is not picked up when we get there to clean, consider this is not in average condition so we will have to calculate the the time needed to pick up and put away before we can clean.
